Californians rally to boost AMBER alert search effort

Update: the child has been found safe.

Citizens are helping law enforcement find an abducted California baby after authorities issued an enhanced AMBER alert for the girl on Thursday morning.

Miiori Colon was last seen with a 36-year-old black male at Boardwalk Drive and Poppy Way in Marysville. The law enforcement agencies, which posted the emergency message at 3:20 a.m., said the girl was abducted and believed to be in danger.

The two are believed to be in a black 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV with standard-design California license plates 5JVG798. The Amber Alert extends beyond Yuba County to Yolo, Sutter, Placer, Nevada and Sacramento counties, authorities said.

Lance Colon, 36, is described as a 5-foot-10, 170-pound Black male with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with white/green basketball shorts. Authorities say Colon walks with a limp.
